Greetings from Brussels (again!) -- although this time we (Janice, Katie, Adrienne and the 5 other members of our Hollins/ADF MFA class) are back, after great time in Paris researching at the Center National de la Danse and the Centre Pompidou, and performing in Nancy and the CCN-Ballet de Lorraine. I discovered this video there, which also seems to have something to do with what I'm thinking about:
By now you should have received Janice's postcard from Argentina, and mine from Paris should arrive sometime next week. If you're not a member of the postcard chain yet but would like to be, click here: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s_thankyou.aspx?sm=6ujUy31jsmjsynAn29%2bw3h2u8vS3RORdv4CQTDjuyyo%3d

Greetings from Brussels!
Hello all! Greetings from Brussels, where I just joined with the rest of the Hollins/ADF MFA folks at Nadine; still nursing my calf back to health after injuring it two weeks ago, but all and all a good day and it felt good to dance (the first of a four day workshop with Clinton Stringer!) Last week, Seth and I had great travels in Berlin and Amsterdam; one highlights for me was discovering the above work (which moves -- each carousel of miniatures rotates) by Hans Peter Feldmann, SCHATTENSPIEL (Shadow Play), at the Hamburger Bahnhof Berlin. If I were to write you a postcard with a sentence today it would be:
"chilly and sore, but with good company -- and surprised by how much french I understand!"
